It is possible to use a LinkSys SPA3102 behind the Zyxel P-2601HN-F1 wireless router used by Telfort Internet in The Netherlands. This brings you the advantage to create a dial plan and route your calls via a different VoIP provider like one of the Betamax cheap VoIP providers instead of using your Telfort VoIP line while still being able to receive incoming calls on your Telfort VoIP DID number. When you do this, calling via the SPA3102 to your Zyxel modem over your Telfort VoIP line will no longer function. I found out that in order to have the LinkSys SPA3102 be able to talk to the Zyxel modem, it need sto have a 3 ms delay set on the time between opening the line to the Zyxel and starting to provide the numbers to dial. This can be done as follows:
  1. Enter the web based configuration page of your LinkSys SPA3102
  2. Switch to admin mode and then to advanced mode
  3. Click on the Voice tab at the top

  4. Click on the PSTN Line tab in the line with the red tabs
  5. Scroll all the way to the bottom to the Internaitonal Control section and add a 3 for the SPA to PSTN Gain while leavind the PSTN to SPA Gain at 0

  6. Save the change by clicking on Submit All Changes at the bottom
  7. The outbound calls via the SPA3102 to your Zyxel modem should work now
