Note: this information applies to the DVBLogic TVSource v3.x products, for the explanation for DVBLogic TVSource v4.x products, go here.

DVBLogic TVSource comes with a preloaded list with transponders from several cable, satellite and terrestrial providers throughout the world. These may be outdated or yours might not be available. In such case you may either choose to do a Network Scan or to create your own transponderlist. The latter will be explained here. Follow these steps to do so:

  1. Gather the transponder information regarding your tv signal. This may be by asking your tv provider for this information, looking it up in the manual or searching for it on the internet. For cable TV viewers in the Netherlands, you can use the website digitalekabeltelevisie.nlto gather the information regarding the transponders.
  2. I assume you have installed DVBLogic TVServer and TVSource already and are at the step to configure your tuner(s). If not, make sure you first perform these installs. Step by step manuals in several languages on how to perform the installation can be found at the dvblogic.com website.
  3. Start DVBLink Server Configuration. If you haven't already added your TV tuner as a new source, do so by selecting TVSource (EPG&Stream) under Source templates and click the green arrow to add it as a new source. Remember the name you provide to this source in the popup box as you'll need it at the next step. Click on OK to save your settings and close DVBLink Configuration.
  4. Browse to the following folder. This assumes you have installed DVBLogic in the default location. If not, replace the first underlined part with the actual location where you installed DVBLogic:

C:\Program Files\DVBLogic\DVBLink2\Sources\<name of your TV source as added at step 3>\Transponders

  5. In there you will find a large amount of INI files. Each of these contains transponder information. Open up 5031.ini in notepad. You will see the following contents:

  6. Now replace these contents with the transponders available on your TV network. Start by editing number 1 and work your way down by replacing the existing entries. If you have less transponders, simply delete the remaining lines. If you have more transponders, simply add extra lines where you start each line with its unique number.
  7. Once done, choose to save the file by overwriting the original file.
  8. Once saved, start DVBLink Server Configuration again. Click on the small button with the three dots at the right of the TV source you added at step 3.
  9. On the Device tab of the TVSource Configuration screen, make the correct options for your tuner. Mark at least one entry active and proceed by clicking on the Headends tab.
  10. At the bottom click Add to add a new headend. This is going to be the reference to your transponderlist. Under provider, you should now select Kabel Ziggo (Nederland) as this is the file you edited at step 4.
  11. Proceed to the Scan tab where you should see all the transponders listed which you have entered at step 4. At the bottom, click Scan to start scanning for available channels within these transponders.
  12. This may take a while, but when its done, you should see that the channels have been found.
